Illiona Okereke, also known as Illy, is a licensed associate counselor specializing in trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, and relationships. Possessing over 15 years of experience working in various settings, including school, nonprofit, and ministry, she has helped individuals and families of diverse backgrounds. She specifically has great familiarity with Caribbean and West African cultures and can speak Haitian Creole fluently.
Illy earned a Master’s in Counseling Services from Rider University and an Educational Specialist (EdS) in Marriage & Family Therapy. She utilizes her training in EMDR, Prepare Enrich, the Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help meet her clients’ needs.
