What Is Future Helpers Summer Academy?
Future Helpers Summer Academy is a virtual, pre-professional summer program designed for high school students (grades 9–12) who are curious about careers in counseling, social work, psychology, and human services.
This is not a therapy group, and students are not asked to share personal experiences. Instead, participants learn about the helping professions, how professionals are trained, what ethical practice looks like, and how helpers support individuals and communities in responsible, healthy ways.
Through interactive workshops, career exploration, skill-building activities, and a final capstone project, students gain early exposure to a field they may one day pursue academically and professionally.

Students receive over 26 hours of structured instruction, professional development, and career exposure led by a licensed mental health professional, in addition to personalized feedback, a capstone project, and a hands-on graduation experience.
